Together with researchers from Denmark and Sweden, Saint Trofee studied performance indicators for energy efficient supermarket buildings. This work was done under Annex 44 of the International Energy Agency's Heat Pumping Technologies (IEA-HPT).
The current yearly energy consumption of supermarkets in The Netherlands, Denmark and Sweden is on average 400 kWh/m2 per year. The report provides details on dependencies with opening hours, supermarket size and other factors.
